On 1 November 2018, Cannabis-based products for medicinal use in humans (CBPMs) were introduced under Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001. Only products meeting the definition of a CBPM in regulation 2(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 were rescheduled. Other countries operate differing control regimes to the UK. In addition, some cannabis-based medicines have received marketing authorisation, granted in accordance with medicines legislation, and been separately scheduled in the MDR 2001 following ACMD advice. You must carry medicine containing a controlled drug with you in your hand luggage when entering or leaving the UK. It may be taken away from you at the border if you cannot prove it was prescribed for you.https://www.gov.uk/travelling-controlled-drugs
